Three Reasons To Identify Why Your Item Upgrader Isn't Performing (And The Best Ways To Fix It)
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of an item can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.
Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This value is the total of all its leveled up advantages (attack magic attack, attack defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, dependent on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to perform. This is due to the number of perks that have to be altered to upgrade an item.
Item level is a commonly used measurement of power and can be found on all item tooltips. It also serves to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average item level can be found on the character sheet.
Utilizing the level of an item will allow players to compare the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an excellent indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it is able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done using the item's level.
On PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are several theories about how the level of an item is determined. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It considers that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This process could result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is usually close to Blizzard's real item level.
It's not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit score. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.
item upgrader on an item are a significant element in what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of them in various ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stat mods of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's level.
Upgrades to an item may boost its stats. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare levels will be upgraded multiple times, at higher costs.

Another method to alter the stats of an item is to use affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The affixes could provide the item extra damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving dead or reducing cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an additional name to the item.
At present, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items that can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.
In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges of an item are determined by the level of the item, however all items are guaranteed to have at least one stat within that range, unless it is an exclusive item or a God roll from a boss of a raid.
This is another aspect that could be altered by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items would not display all the possible stats either lost or gained at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives players a chance to acquire better equipment earlier in the game and is thus more valuable in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each item level. These can also be enhanced by using anti-materials such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can spawn or be crafted by using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to increase the existing Luck of an item up to 140.
Furthermore, certain items, such as the Hollow infused weapon can be used to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items are available in the shop or created using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Item upgrades are expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade fails.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading that item, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased as high, and the probability that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an item can be affected by the luck of that item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.
Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the items in the inventory therefore enchantment glints and other effects could be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
